Being a parent in 2022 comes with it’s own set of challenges. I love the way Dr. Sterling puts it in her posts about the Millennial Parent . We have so much more information at our literal fingertips than previous generations, which can often lead us feeling overwhelmed and stuck in the google-it cycle. But also, we have so much more information at our literal fingertips! I do not want to think about what parenting would have been like without some of the apps I use on the daily! Some of them I stumbled upon, but most of them were recommended to me by other parents. And who am I to keep them a secret?! So here is a compilation of apps that just make mom life a tad bit easier!
I have categorized them based on how I use the app and/or what area of parenting they assist in. Keep checking back for more posts for each category!
Here are three apps I love for all things Baby Sleep.
If you are a parent who struggles with babies and sleep, this app is for you! You can track so much more in the app, but I use it primarily to log Z’s sleep. If you pay for the premium version, the app will then prompt you for ‘sweet spots’ – basically telling you now is the optimal time for baby to go down for a nap.
If you need even more support than that, you can pay to send in your information to have a sleep expert to analyse it and send you a custom sleep plan. I have been using this app since literally day one with Zayden!
The Hatch sound machines connect to the app via buetooth so you can do so much without leaving your bed. You can change the light colour and brightness, set favourite sounds, and turn the machine on and off. While this all may seem a bit overkill if you’re an expectant parent, trust me when I say you will be so grateful to have the hatch when you’re fumbling around doing middle of the night feed and need to adjust the light in the room or the level of sound.

I mean we all know you're already browsing Amazon so having the app is so handy!
Monitor apps:
While we do not have a wifi enabled monitor, many of my mom friends do. They love being able to go into their app and see what’s happening in babe’s room at any time. I have also heard of this being an awesome feature for families who co-parent. Being able to check in on your little one from literally anywhere gives a lot of parents the peace of mind they are looking for. When shopping for your wifi enabled monitor, make sure to check out the corresponding app to ensure you love the whole experience of the monitor.
Here's a link to a section of wifi enabled monitors from buybuy BABY!
*PS* Do not forget to sign up for coupons from buybuy BABY as they can be use on items such as the Hatch sound machine - making it much more affordable!
